Dr Thais Rangel (female) is appointed assistant professor at the Universidad Politecnica de Madrid (UMP). She is PhD in Transport Economics by the UPM and Master in Data Science by KSchool (Madrid). She has worked in several international and national projects. Her research activity has been focused on transportation management and financing, public private partnerships and road safety.
From 2008 to now she is working in the Transportation Research Centre of the UPM (TRANSyT) as a researcher in several projects. From 2015 to 2016 she was a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Prospective Technological Studies (IPTS – Joint Research Centre – European Commission), where she collaborated in a project about road safety. In 2017 she went back to TRANSyT as a research fellow. Dr. Rangel has published several papers in the field of traffic safety and public private partnerships.
